A studio of one, building like it's a team of ten.
Crema Software LLC is an independent app studio. We build fewer things, better — software for people who take their hobbies seriously enough to want good tools for them.
The name is a small joke about what's worth keeping. Crema is the thin, foamy layer on top of a well-pulled espresso shot — the part that only shows up when everything underneath it was done right. That's the standard: not more features, not a longer roadmap, just the parts of an app that only exist when someone cared about the details.
That's also why the studio ships one thing at a time. VENS is the first release, and it got the kind of attention a small, focused team can give a single app: real usage driving real fixes, no backlog of half-shipped ideas competing for attention.
If you use VENS and something's off, or you have an idea for what's next, that feedback goes directly into the next build — there's no layer of process between you and the person who'll actually change the code.
Considered over comprehensive
A smaller feature set that actually works beats a longer one that mostly does.
Built from real use
Every feature in VENS started from an actual festival, an actual setlist, an actual annoyance.
One app at a time
Attention doesn't split across a portfolio. What we ship gets maintained, not abandoned.
Where the name VENS comes from
VENS is named for Vegas, Eleven, Nimbus, and Seven — four dogs who sat through most of its development. Two of them were right there under the desk for the late nights; two of them we only got to carry with us in memory, watching over the work from across the rainbow bridge. It felt right to name the first real release after all four of them.
