Accessibility

What VENS actually supports today, platform by platform — not a legal boilerplate page.

VENS is a one-person-studio app, so this page is a plain, honest account of what's built rather than a formal conformance statement. We're not claiming a specific WCAG level — just telling you exactly what we've verified in the app and where the gaps still are.

Supported on iPhone, iPad, and Mac

  • VoiceOver — screen elements throughout the app carry accessibility labels, so VoiceOver can navigate and describe them.
  • Voice Control — built on the same labeling as VoiceOver, so Voice Control commands can target the same elements by name.
  • Larger Text — text scales with your Dynamic Type setting; the app doesn't lock text to a fixed size.
  • Dark Interface — VENS follows a Light/Dark/System appearance setting in-app, in addition to your device's system-wide setting.
  • Reduce Motion — when this system setting is on, VENS's scanning screen swaps springy animations for instant transitions.

Supported on Apple Watch

The Watch app is a smaller, separate build, so a couple of things differ from the phone/iPad/Mac experience:

  • VoiceOver — supported; key actions like Track ID and Squad refresh are labeled.
  • Larger Text — supported; text scales with Dynamic Type here too.
  • Dark Interface — supported, following watchOS's own system appearance.
  • Voice Control — partially supported; label coverage is narrower than the phone app today.
  • Reduce Motion — not yet implemented on Watch.

Still on our list

  • Differentiate Without Color Alone — we haven't done a dedicated pass to confirm every status or state in the app is conveyed by more than color alone.
  • Sufficient Contrast — we design with contrast in mind, but haven't run a formal audit against every color pairing in the app.

Not applicable

VENS doesn't include narrated or dialogue-driven video content, so Captions and Audio Descriptions don't apply — the only audio playback in the app is short music preview clips.
